Description
Bianca sat so still in the moonlight, an orchid over her ear, naked and strangely shy as she looked away from Daman. Slender, with smooth skin the color of mocha and scented with island flowers, she blossomed with more beauty than any orchid on this island. He moved closer and handed her another flower. She cradled the purple orchid with a kind of childlike wonder, inhaling the fragrance, tasting the petals, holding it to her breasts as if it were the most precious of gifts. Flashes of mood transformed her face like a sudden change in the weather. One moment she dazzled so brightly it made him want to do just about anything to see her smile again. Anything to dispel the unreachable sadness and brewing storm that lived so deep within her dark violet eyes.
Excerpt from a novel written by Carol Cavalaris.
