Tulips, of blushing red
passionate purple
and true blue
every bloom saying I love you.
Love Tulips prose by Carol Cavalaris
This artwork of vibrant tulips, with a purple butterfly and two tiny red lady bugs, was inspired by tulips I planted in my garden the first spring of my husband's passing. It is from the 'Language Of Flowers' collection of floral art by Carol Cavalaris.

Ion - thank you for your three comments on my Love Tulips artwork. This was painted in Photoshop, which may account for the vibrant colors. And there is a story behind the flowers. When my husband/soul mate died suddenly in the spring of 06, I planted tulip bulbs in my garden that fall, and felt when the tulips bloomed they would remind me of the love we shared. The bright deep red tulips and violet tulips bloomed with great gusto the following Spring, and they were the inspiration for this art. And after several years, I still get a few of those vibrant tulips. So I guess you could say they do have a magical quality. Carol

Must be something magical, enchanted to these flowers since I commented twice, without noticing! (trice!)

I don't know how you do it, to get such intense, saturated colors but they are amazingly beautiful! fav/v. I did some Irises with a grasshopper but your coccinelles (ladybugs?) are better! Nice touch!
