and tired of trying
I long to have the calm heart
and quiet spirit of the lion.
The lion attacks only when challenged and will fight to the death to protect. His spirit teaches us patience and calmness, to wait in stillness for the right moment to act, secure in knowing our power and strength will be with us when we must fight for the things we care about.

I live in the middle of a forest in the high country of Colorado. It is the wild beauty of my surroundings that inspires my mixed medium paintings of wildlife and nature. I grew up in Southern California and have been creating since childhood, always drawing, painting or making something. I have enjoyed many creative adventures, including sculpting, stained glass art, being a display artist, an interior designer, a graphic artist, a copywriter, a songwriter, a novelist, and a creative director.
