Also, another question...what paint program do you work in for your digital art? I have been using Corel Paint Essentials 5
Carol Cavalaris replied:
I use Photoshop CS6. The above painting was created with alcohol inks first, with very minor work in Photoshop.

Thank you for answering. I am having a lot of fun with the digital art. I am waiting for my supplies to arrive to begin trying the alcohol ink. Do you usually start with your digital art on Yupo paper and then add the alcohol ink affects? I hope you don't mind me picking your brain.
Carol Cavalaris replied:
Donna, I paint in alcohol ink on yupo first, and then add digital on some of the art.

Hi Carol, I have recently started doing digital art pieces and I am also very interested in the alcohol ink concept, which I have not yet tried. Do you have any pointers that might help? Or do you possibly have a youtube video on the subject of your art.
Carol Cavalaris replied:
Donna. I think you'll enjoy creating with alcohol ink, as it's very organic. I love combining the ink paintings with digital because of the versatility. I don't have a YouTube instruction video, but, when time permits, I am planning on creating a tutorial of my techniques. I'll let you know when it's available.
